Grand Blanc Rd: Torrey Rd to US-23
Pavement Reconstruction and Reconfiguration to Three Lanes

The Genesee County Road Commission has announced that a public informational meeting for the Reconstruction / Lane Reconfiguration of Grand Blanc Rd from Torrey Road to US-23. will be held on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mundy Township office, located at 3478 Mundy Avenue, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The purpose of the meeting is to share information and get public input regarding the proposed reconstruction and lane reconfiguration, of Grand Blanc Rd, to a 3-lane roadway at the Bridge over US-23. The agenda will be an informal “Open House” with proposed maps, plans, and project costs available for public review. Comments from the public will be recorded. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. At present the project is still being designed, and the environmental permitting for the project is in the process of being approved. Actual construction work is proposed to begin in the Spring of 2025. The anticipated completion date is late Summer / early Autumn of 2025. The reconstruction of this corridor is expected to cost over $1,900,000. The project is being funded primarily with Federal Surface Transportation Program funds and contributing monies from the Genesee County Road Commission. The project will be administered and managed by the Genesee County Road Commission.
