Notice to Auction Township Property
PUBLIC NOTICE FOR AUCTION OF TOWNSHIP PROPERTY
The Charter Township of Genesee has received notice of Intent to Purchase the following Township owned parcels:
Parcel 1:
11-19-503-140 (1302 E. Yale, Flint, Mi 48505) Minimum bid amount $250.00
Parcel 2:
11-19-551-224 (E. Downey, Flint, Mi 48505) Minimum bid amount $500.00
Bidding Process:
Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Genesee Township Clerk’s Office located at 7244 N. Genesee Road, Genesee, Mi 48437. Sealed bids shall contain the bid amount and parcel #. Parcels are being sold as is, and via QUIT CLAIM DEED. The Township cannot and will not guarantee clear title.
***Purchaser agrees to pay filing fee of $35.00***
Bids will be accepted beginning June 15th – June 30th at 5:00PM.
Bids shall be opened at the July 14th Township Board Meeting.

Genesee Township Invites Public to Master Plan Open House
Genesee Township, MI — Work continues on the Genesee Township Master Plan Update, and the Township is inviting residents and other interested individuals to participate in an upcoming public open house to review and comment on draft plan recommendations.
The Genesee Township Master Plan Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Genesee Township Hall, 7244 N. Genesee Road, Genesee, MI, 48437. The open house is designed as a drop‑in event, allowing attendees to arrive at any time during the two‑hour window and stay as long as they wish.
There will be no formal presentation. Instead, a variety of displays and exhibits will be available for review, highlighting recommendations related to future land use, community character, economic development, circulation, and environmental protection. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the draft Master Plan.
Community input has played a key role in the planning process to date, following a community survey, community discussions, and public meetings. The open house provides another opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and help shape the future of Genesee Township.

The Charter Township of Genesee will be accepting bids for the sale of 2016 Ford Explorer with 189,983 miles. VIN 1FM5K8AR1GGA37406. This is a retired Police/Code Enforcement vehicle with a bad transmission. All sealed bids are due in the Clerk’s office by Friday, May 8, 2026 at 5 p.m.
